Division Breakdown
Open Divisions
The goal of the Open divisions at the BJNC is to identify the best team in the country through rigorous competition in a particular age classification from among the top 40 (36 for 14s and 15s) teams. The Open divisions of the Bid Tournaments are designed to identify and select those top teams.
To compete in an Open division of the BJNC, all teams, including foreign federation teams, must either win a bid at a Bid Tournament or be awarded a bid through the Open at-large bid process.
USA Divisions*
The USA division is only being offered in the 16-18 age classifications. In its inaugural season, the USA division’s primary goal will be to help create more manageable field sizes between the Club and USA divisions at the BJNC. Bid Tournaments are voluntarily running USA divisions to help introduce the division to the BJNC.
